Starsider has a lot of crafting guilds and general traders. The vast majority produce specific stuff that people want while others mass produce food items and clothing for various needs. In my best opinion it is best to mix and match those ideas. Let's say that you have a munitions trader and you make weapons for people who put in orders. Well something you might do is spec one point into making armor Skill Enhancement Modifiers to make commonly used 35's such as STR PREC BV or just single order SEA's in the form of LUCK. Sell these for reasonable prices and you will have a steady flow of money as well as your custom order weapons.
